ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – Tickets are available, but going fast for the 2nd Annual Atlantic Highlands Mayor’s Ball, which this year will be a benefit for the all-volunteer Atlantic Highlands First Aid & Safety Squad.
The event will be held October 3, 2009 at the Shore Casino in Atlantic Highlands and have a 50s and 60s sock hop theme.
“The Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee has been working overtime to make this a top-flight event,” said Atlantic Highlands First Aid chief Richard Huff. “The committee has put together a great night that should be fun for all.”
The AHFAS is an all-volunteer emergency medical and rescue organization that operates on donations from the borough and the community. Members volunteer their time to train to the highest standards and respond to emergencies around the clock.
“The funds raised from this event will go directly to maintaining our ambulances, purchase medical supplies, and allow us to continue providing high quality care at no cost to area residents,” Huff said.
The Mayor’s Ball will include dinner, dancing and a silent auction with great prizes including trips, electronics and more.
“The Mayor’s Ball is a great way for friends and neighbors to have a nice night out while also doing something good for the community,” Huff said. “The Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee should be commended for their hard work on this project.”
