The members of the Atlantic Highlands First Aid & Safety Squad want to give thanks to the members of the Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee for making the organization the beneficiary of the recent 2nd Annual Mayor’s Ball.
Committee members devoted countless hours to making this a glorious event, and they should be commended. The 50s style Sock Hop held at the Shore Casino brought together members of the community and surrounding areas to have fun and raise money for a good cause.
The members of the AHCEC, along with Mayor Fred Rast, deserve a standing ovation for their work in making it a spectacular success. They conceived the theme of the event, organized the benefit, spent hours setting up, and made sure the night went off without a hitch.
A community is only as strong as its residents, and with people like those in the Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee, the Mayor and the Borough Council, Atlantic Highlands stands apart from the rest.
